The BBC community web-sites allow users to participate in the creation of original articles on a wide variety of subjects there are a number of mini-sites designed to appeal different groups of people, some being factual based, some more creatively orientated. Most of these mini-sites (i.e. The factual based sites) have some sort of editorial process where by articles are approved by BBC editors and gain "edited" status.
